Faking it

I was never good at faking it. I didn't grow up in a household where I had to pretend to be happy or pretend to like something. My mom isn't a natural smiler and wasn't good at faking it even if she tried. If I'm not happy you're going to know it. I won't put on a happy face, and you may even hear me growl or curse. This is why I'm always thrown when I find out friends I thought were generally happy (within reason...we all have our moments)...aren't. What if we had a 'National Don't Fake It' Day? Would friendships be ruined? Would someone's adequate sex get better? Would chaos ensue?

Uh... wouldn't the "adequate" sex get WORSE?
I think a lot of people would be unhappy if it were "National Don't Fake It Day."
I for one would choose that day to stay in bed.

  4. "adequate" sex would get better because you could be honest about it being crappy.

I like to think "National Don't Fake It" Day would come with a warning. I would enjoy telling some people what I really think though.

  5. Well, you should feel free to consider every day "National Don't Fake It Day" in regards to me. I'm not asking for brutal honesty with no point ('That shirt really looks like shit.') but rather that you not talk to me if you don't want to talk to me, etc. One thing I don't want is fake friendship.

  6. No, I don't feel the need to be fake with you. Anything I'd hold back however, is most likely something I'd hold back from everyone.

    :)
